I am a philosopher of science with a primary interest in biology (particularly genetics) and the social sciences (particularly psychology and sociology). I completed my PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge in 2024. Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research.
I am interested in the philosophical questions that arise in the context of scientific research on human behaviour and health. These include, but are not limited to, causation and causal inference, measurement, the role of theory, and the influence of epistemic and non-epistemic values. My research so far has primarily focused on the fields of behavioural genetics and sociogenomics and the methodological and ethical problems associated with them.
I was born and grew up in Ukraine which continues to suffer from the Russian invasion. You can help Ukrainian medics save lives by donating to https://www.hospitallers.org.uk/ or https://www.leleka.care/.
